Short Over View About Mini Soccer Balls

Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

Mini soccer balls are included in the size three category according to the soccer balls classification, and they work well for juggling and for children’s games. Some people love collecting mini soccer balls, while others buy them to get autographs from the players they admire. With prices a lot lower than those of regular items, the mini versions make a great gift for boys and girls who spend lots of time outside playing; they are cheap and they can be purchased from any regular sports store or, for online shoppers, the balls can be theirs with a basic order.

Mini soccer balls also work great for promotional purposes; visitors and customers at open air business events and shows are offered such items either as thank you gifts or to promote the image of the company. Logos, symbols, full messages and company details are usually printed on such mini soccer balls, which turns the items into reminders of one business or another. Promotional mini soccer balls are purchased in large quantities by various corporations and then custom-printed. It is common practice to offer mini soccer balls at the release of a soccer gear line, precisely if the producer is Brine, Nike or Adidas.

Mini soccer balls are not manufactured of the best materials available. The linings inside the balls are often made from some leftovers from other balls sizes, and the same is true about the coverings. The idea is not to create a lower quality product, but to use all resources well and save as much money as possible. Plus, the fact that less expensive materials are used in the making of mini soccer balls is justified by the functions that these items are normally going to serve for: practice and children’s games.

Hence, there is not much to expect from mini soccer balls in terms of performance, and the usage remains truly limited. Unlike match and professional balls, special features and extra warranties will not be available with these small items. However, there are some quality standards that have to be met for such items too: for instance, the bounce, the inflation, the balance and the speed have to be at least satisfactory. Depending on the bladder material, butyl or natural rubber, mini soccer balls may require periodical inflation, particularly when latex is used. You can test the air tension inside by simply pressing the ball with the hand.

Discover How To Leap Higher

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

ANYONE can increase their vertical leap and learn how to jump higher!

The key to increasing you vertical jump is learning the role your body type plays. Age, sex, race e.t.c., do not play as important a role. You need to do an assessment of your own individual reaction to training, as this changes from one person to another. Giving you exercises simply doesn’t cut it if you want real hops…you NEED a cycle based on exercises for your given body type, concentrating on your weaknesses. This group of exercises ought to cycle from Strength to Explosiveness to Plyometrics.

Fundamental Steps To Get Started

1. Assess your present level of fitness and your level of experience with prior types of training. The best way to get gains is to construct a totally new strength foundation. Then start utilizing an explosion phase. This will result in further inches.

2. Perform Lifts. Total body conditioning is a key factor for such an athlete and there is no superior exercise than the full back squat. This gives you progressive increases on spinal loading, which provides stabilization under tension, and also improves stretch-response of hip muscles and hamstrings.

3. Make the squat the core exercise of your lower body workouts. 6-8 quality lifts gets the best strength improvements and vertical carryover. On the days of your upper body workouts, use the same philosophy, with the central exercises being bench press, overhead press variations, pull-ups and dips. Keep in mind the overlooked muscles towards the end of your workout – muscles such as hip flexors, the shins , transverse abdominals e.t.c.

4. Make sure to use a lifting technique in a secure and efficient style. Undergo 3-5 week strength phases for both lower and upper body. Done correctly, observable gains of 5+% on each lift should be seen weekly. Following this, you will start to envision how your jump is guaranteed to increase.

5. Correctly use explosive and plyometric training as well as your strength training. These are your “field workouts” and are completed ahead of your weight exercises. That is, on Day 1 you begin by engaging in a sequence of tempo runs, sprints and low-intensity plyos (after the proper warm-up of course). By the time Phase 3 comes around, this will have slowly switched to shorter tempo runs, overspeed (downhill) sprints and high-intensity plyos.

6. Concentration on the heavier weights will decrease as you move forward through the phases.

7. Visualize by closing your eyes, imagining yourself exploding upwards. Picture yourself with big leg muscles that are tightened like springs, set to blast you up into the air. Say to yourself “I feel myself getting more powerful and much lighter.” Then jump once more. You should notice a marked increase in your vertical jump. (Sports psychologists have long documented the usefulness of “mental practice” in increasing athletic performance.)

One final thought – the core of improving performance in any sport is the core (center) of your body…your midsection. To improve your midsection check out this information on how to get a six pack.

Youth Soccer Coaching Training: 4 Easy Ways To Develop Teamwork

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

Youth Soccer Coaching Drills

In youth soccer coaching drills, teamwork can be a stone in your foot that is not easy to remove. If you want to teach youth soccer the right way, them this is a critical factor to consider. Don’t ever forget that the game of soccer is a team sport and so it makes sense that to win you need to develop the team spirit among the kids.

Be careful about those so called stars in your team. They tend to be concerned only about their goals as individuals and not the team’s objectives. No surprise that despite the talent, such teams seldom succeed.

Important soccer coaching tip: Teamwork starts to be present when each and every player understands that he’s just a piece of the engine – the team. This means that every player contributes with an equal share to the good performance of the team. Praise all players and not just a few of them. The team as a whole must be responsible for failures and also for succeeding. Conversely, when there is a bad performance, the team needs to learn how to accept the blame collectively. No single player should be blamed- everyone should understand what went wrong and what needs to be fixed.

To develop team work it’s also important that you get everybody involved and do not exclude some players. You can do this by developing activities and drills that promote the team spirit and bring everybody together and make your players feel as part of the team. No one can do everything by himself so it’s important that your players understand that.

Make sure you are aware of some people that may have the intention to break your team’s spirit by making other people’s minds against each other. If you get wind of someone trying to breed mistrust or discontent among the team, deal with it openly. It’s important that you let the kids know that if they have any kind of problems or concerns, they can come to you for advice. Communication goes a long way in building a sense of team spirit.

You can also create something special to help motivate and cultivate team spirit, like a dance or a war-game motivational song! Having team badges or shirts is another great way to kindle the spirit of belonging among your players. If you see your players off the field wearing their team badge or shirt, you can be sure they have plenty of team spirit and are proud of it.
